Rehoboth Beach BoardwalkWhile it’s true that you can’t please all of the people all of the time, Rehoboth Beach comes pretty darn close.

The daylight hours offer activities that appeal to any age group or lifestyle, including morning bike rides on the boardwalk, lounging and swimming at Rehoboth’s award-winning, five-star beach and tax-free shopping along Rehoboth Avenue and mere miles away at bustling Tanger Outlets.

The options become plentiful when the sun goes down, as Rehoboth becomes a playground split into segments.

For families and kids, there’s miniature golf, arcades and Funland, a storied amusement park with games and rides that dates back 50 years. With its nationally known Haunted Mansion, iconic spinning Paratroopers ride and a dizzyingly fun skee-ball area, Funland hasn’t changed much over the course of its existence, and that’s part of its charm.

Varied nightlife choices are scattered across the town at Funlandwell-known hang-outs such as Summer House, Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats, Arena’s and the Purple Parrott, and dining selections range from upscale eateries and relaxing pubs to legendary pizza peddlers and walk-up establishments serving ice cream, fries and other guilty pleasures.

Those who love the arts are also in luck. Clear Space Theatre Company is home to countless great stage shows, and fine art and exhibitions can be found at galleries and museums throughout the town.

Get outdoors with dolphin watching, pontoon boat excursions and waterslide fun at Jungle Jim’s.

Annual events include the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival, Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Outdoor Fine Arts & Fine Crafts Show, Rehoboth Restaurant Week and a Fourth of July fireworks bash and display that rivals some of the best in the Mid-Atlantic.

Sea Witch Halloween and Fiddlers FestivalEven in the off-season, Rehoboth becomes a hub of activity. Each October, the Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler's Festival comes to town, bringing with it 30,000 visitors who participate in parades, costume contests and 5K races. The annual tree lighting is one of Delaware’s most memorable icons of the holiday season. And, in late winter, the Rehoboth Beach Chocolate Festival adds a touch of sweetness to the salt air.

If vacation, or even a day trip, is on your mind but you can’t decide on the specifics, give Rehoboth a try.

Chances are you’ll leave as one of the many people pleased with their stay.
