When Linda Parkowski, Director of Tourism, State of Delaware, was asked to speak at the Fifty-fourth Annual Convention for the Delaware Retired School Personnel Association (DRSPA), Linda welcomed the opportunity to bring to light all of the wonderful things to do in Delaware.

"I encourage you to discover, explore, and experience Delaware," said Linda Parkowski. "You don't
have to go far to enjoy the diversity and abundance of attractions in the State." Delaware is rich in
history, art, and culture and has beautiful natural resources. Delaware is also known for its agritourism,
maritime and outdoor adventures, tempting trails, gaming, and tax-free shopping, dining, and
entertainment.

"Delaware has a growing senior population and has recently received national attention for being a
desirable and affordable place to retire," said Alan Levin, Director of the Delaware Economic
Development Office. "Tourism is a vital economic driver for the First State." Twenty-five percent
(25%) of the State's 861,000 population includes citizens who are 55 years of age and older.

"Conference participants were excited to hear about the many local attractions that we may often take
for granted," said Kay Sullivan, presiding president, DRSPA. DRSPA is headquartered in Dover and
has 2,000 members. DRSPA strives to maintain and improve the social, educational, economic and
recreational welfare and status of retired educators in the local community, state, and nation.

The Delaware Tourism Office, 99 Kings Highway in Dover, Del., a division of the Delaware Economic
Development Office, promotes tourism and economic growth in Delaware. Over the past year, through
