Day One

Learn about the heroic men that risked their lives to rescue those in peril and prevent shipwrecks along the Delaware’s pristine coastline. Originally constructed in 1876 for use by the U.S. Lifesaving Service, the Station and Museum are situated on the Delaware Seashore State Park Beach and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy a nostalgic trip back in time as you tour the actual station where heroes prepared for duty! 

Next, experience the Atlantic Ocean breezes as you stroll along the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach. Indulge yourself at Rehoboth’s fabulous boutique shops and vast array of eateries or just sit back, relax, and take in all of the wonderful sights and sounds Rehoboth Beach has to offer. Eat like a local and enjoy Delaware’s legendary Grotto Pizza followed by homemade taffy and fudge from Candy Kitchen. Yum!

Ahoy matey! The next stop is a pirate adventure as you embark on our very own Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware. Join the captain and crew on a one-of-a-kind exploration of the Delaware Bay! The Kalmar Nyckel is Delaware’s seagoing goodwill ambassador that serves as a sea and land-based learning and recreational vessel. All aboard! 

Finally, conclude your day with a visit to Woodburn, the home of Delaware’s group-tour friendly Governor, Jack Markell. Woodburn has served as the official residence of the Governor of Delaware since it was purchased by the State in 1965. This Middle Period Georgian mansion was built in 1798 by Charles Hillyard, III, and is a must-see attraction for the Delaware traveler! 

Day Two

Experience the beauty of the arts at one of Delaware’s finest galleries. The Delaware Art Museum is best known for its collection of British Pre‐Raphaelite artworks by Wilmington native Howard Pyle and fellow American illustrators, and urban landscapes by John Sloan. Top off your day with a visit to Mount Cuba Center, a lovely 630-acre DuPont country estate. Mt.
