There is no place quite like Delaware.  Escape to “Chateau Country” for riveting landscapes made famous by Andrew Wyeth’s paintings. Our state capital, Dover, is home to one of the most beautifully preserved capitol complexes in the nation, captured by the First State Heritage Park. Newark Symphony Orchestra
A community orchestra dedicated to the advancement of classical music within the Greater Newark area. Programs are artistic, cultural and educational. The orchestra provides fine music at a reasonable cost, a convenient location and an opportunity for vocational musicians to play in a structured environment.

Fort Delaware State Park
Civil War era fortress and prison to more than 30,000 Confederate, Federal and political prisoners. Features living history programming with highly interactive interpreters in period attire. Daily demonstrations of our eight-inch Columbiad cannon, Civil War cooking, prisoners and civilian life on the island.

Woodland Ferry
Float back in time on the Virginia C, better known as the Woodland Ferry. Three autos at a time take the free crossing over the beautiful Nanticoke River on the 300-year-old cable-run ferry, one of the last of its kind in the eastern United States.

Winterthur Museum & Country Estate
The home of collector and horticulturist Henry Francis du Pont (1880-1969), Winterthur is one of the greatest surviving country estates of its kind in the nation. DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum
The first 'edu-tainment' museum in lower Delaware. Features interactive exhibits, tours, an information center, conservation lab and tanks. Artifact collections include coins and bullion recovered from local wrecks, silver and gold bars, weapons, jewelry, porcelain and pottery, and local colonial and maritime history exhibits.
