Wilmington Grand Prix
May 18 - 20, 2012
The 2012 Grand Prix is set for May 18-20 with three days of festivities. Saturday’s Men’s and Women’s Professional Criterium Races will be the seventh stop on USA Cycling’s National Criterium Calendar and the Wilmington Grand Prix Gran Fondo, a 100-kilometer course traversing 11 cultural attractions featuring two timed climbs and a hilly terrain. Set sail on the Kalmar Nyckel (Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal)

Sail aboard the Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware. Up to 49 souls can experience this three or one and a half-hour sail aboard this 17th Century Dutch pinnace that brought the first permanent European settlers to the Delaware Valley. Her design, construction and operation are authentic, and her soaring rig, operational cannon and carvings are exciting for all to explore. No sailing skills are required, but while underway, you may participate in the operation of the vessel and help hoist and trim sails, as many hands make light work.
