"The Story of My Life" at Delaware Theatre Company

Music and lyrics by Neil Bartram, book by Brian Hill, directed by Bud Martin.  Through the rich melodies of this heartwarming musical, the audience accompanies two friends through their adventures, struggles and discovery that love is what binds us together.

"Trains and Planes" exhibit at the Air Mobility Command Museum

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Air Mobility Command Museum will host a holiday display of garden scale train layouts with three trains operating at the same time. Authentic sound and includes both diesel and steam-era trains. Open daily, free of charge.

Holidays at the Amstel and Dutch Houses in Historic New Castle
Friday - Sunday
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday); 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Sunday)
The Amstel House will be decorated for a traditional holiday celebration in colonial times, showing off a “dessert board” of the period, and featuring traditional 18th century customs during the period of Governor Nicholas Van Dyke’s residency. At the Dutch House, experience a celebration of St. Nichols’ Eve, a tribute to the legend of Saint Nicholas, Dutch patron saint. Included with regular admission to the museums.

Experience traditions of the past and dazzling entertaining displays in this special wintertime tour. Whether you are taking in the breathtakingly decorated trees, the colorful and exquisite room and food displays, or the winter wonderland of the garden, Yuletide at Winterthur is sure to be a feast for your eyes.

Nemours Mansion & Gardens Holiday Tours

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday); 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Sunday)
The estate is decorated with a gingerbread house of the mansion, Christmas trees, paper filigree quilling, original toys, ornaments and more. A guided tour reveals a treasure trove of fine European and American furniture, rare rugs, tapestries, and outstanding works of art. Following the house tour visitors are taken on a guided bus tour through the Gardens.

3 Palms Zoo Lights & Christmas Nights

The 2nd annual Christmas Event is boasting more lights than ever. Enjoy a walk through the festive woodland & see the Zoo at night. Roast a marshmallow, sip hot chocolate, & whisper your special Christmas wishes in Santa’s ear!

Decorating Delmarva Holiday Fest

This 2nd Annual 16-night event will take visitors on a 2-mile tour through the North Pole, holiday lights, and community built displays and will conclude in Santa's Village. In Santa's Village there will be nightly festival events held in an activity area for children including, Mr. & Mrs. Claus, holiday music, fire pits and nightly entertainment.

Art on the Town (Wilmington)

First Saturdays in the First State – Holiday Open House at Woodburn

On the first Saturday of each month, the First State Heritage Park offers a variety of free programs at each of the park's partner sites, including historical theater or hands-on events at the John Bell House, tours of the two capitol buildings in Delaware's capital city -The Old State House and Legislative Hall plus, much more. Walking tours leave from the John Bell House hourly from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This Saturday will include the annual Holiday Open House at Woodburn, the Governor’s House. Governor Markell and First Lady Carla Markell will greet visitors from 10:00 a.m. – Noon. Admission is free.

Price will be $20 per person if purchased in advance by calling (302) 645-7670 or at the Ryves Holt House Museum Gift Shop at the corner of Second and Mulberry Streets or $25 per person if purchased the day of at the Museum Gift Shop or Lewes Chamber of Commerce on Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Santa Claus Express on the Wilmington and Western Railroad

Train departs at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Santa greets everyone on board the Wilmington and Western Railroad and gives all children a chocolate treat. He may even bring Mrs. Claus with him! Be sure to bring your camera and have Santa pose for pictures with your child during this 1½-hour round-trip to Ashland. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Holiday Happenings in Bethany Beach

Bring the family to downtown Bethany Beach for carriage wagon rides, face-painting, visits with Santa and more. This year, the festivities will be moved outdoors to the park next to Town Hall. Illuminated Crepe Myrtles will line the path to Santa and photographs will be taken of all who share their Christmas wishes. In case of inclement weather, the festivities will be moved inside Town Hall. The celebration is free and all are welcome!

Lewes Christmas Parade

Parade route begins at Nylon Blvd and Pennsylvania Avenue, marches east up High Street past the Judge’s stand at Mt. Olivet’s parking lot, turns north (left) at Market Street, and ends at Seaford Middle School. Recognized as the largest Christmas Parade on Delmarva, we are sure you won't be disappointed! Bring a chair or a blanket (or both!) for a cheery, enchanting evening.
