Top spots for hard-to-find school supplies

There are school supplies, and then there are too-cool-for-school supplies. We’ve scoured the state for the stores where mom and dad can find unique school supplies – that nifty backpack, the perfect art set.

Tanger Outlets Rehoboth Beach

And remember, because there’s no sales tax, Delaware’s also the go-to place for higher-ticket electronic devices. Consumers from other states routinely save hundreds of dollars on laptops and tablets at the Apple and Microsoft stores at Christiana Mall, and at the Sony store at Tanger Outlets near Rehoboth Beach.

Tax-free shopping also means big savings on the more routine school supplies at such popular big-box stores as Staples, Office Depot, Target, Best Buy and many more.
