Costumes of Downton Abbey® at Winterthur
Recurring daily (Tuesday – Sunday)
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Costumes of Downton Abbey is an original exhibition of exquisite designs from the award-winning television series. Approximately 35 historically accurate costumes from the television show will be displayed with photographs and vignettes inspired by the fictional program and by real life at Winterthur.

Delaware Breakwater Kayak Eco-Tour at Cape Henlopen State Park
Friday, July 4, 2014
Begins at 10:00 a.m.
Trained instructors lead you on a guided tour in sit-on-top kayaks as you learn about the lower Delaware Bay. Trips are for beginner paddlers, but can be strenuous depending on weather conditions. All equipment is provided. Bring drinking water and sunscreen, and be prepared to get wet. Pre-registration is required by calling 302-645-6852.

The Inlet Bridge: A Hike Through History at Delaware Seashore State Park

Begins at 1:30 p.m.
Hike across the Charles W. Cullen Bridge and learn about how the inlet impacted the history of Delaware’s coast and how natural forces and human activity shaped it into what it is today. Meet at the Delaware Seashore State Park - South Inlet Bathhouse. FREE.

Evening Pontoon Boat Eco-Tour at Trap Pond State Park

Begins at 5:00 p.m.
Come out and enjoy the Baldcypress Swamp on our leisurely boat tour of Trap Pond. We will talk about one of our most famous residents, the Baldcypress Tree. The tours cost $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Unless otherwise stated trips will be on a first-come, first served basis. Meet at the Boathouse.

First Saturdays in the First State - Dover
Saturday, July 5, 2014
9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Explore a variety of special programs and events developed at each historic site for the first Saturday of each month in Dover. Themed exhibits will be open throughout at First State Heritage Park including the John Bell House, Biggs Museum of American Art, and the Welcome Center.

Kayaking “Station Cove”
Friday – Sunday
Begins at 9:30 a.m.
Paddle a sit-on-top kayak through the marshes of Rehoboth Bay and catch a unique glimpse of the historic Indian River Life-Saving Station. Along the way, park naturalists will identify the wildlife that makes up this dynamic ecosystem. Participants will receive basic kayaking instruction and all equipment. Pre-registration required. Age: 13 and up Cost: $35 per person.

Pirate sail on the Kalmar Nyckel
Saturday, July 5, 2014
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Kalmar Nyckel will be in her home port of Wilmington for the July 4th holiday on the Wilmington Riverfront! 1 ½ hour day and pirate sails will depart from Dravo Plaza till July 5th. Passage for all sails is $35 for adults and $20 for youth 17 & under. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made on their website or by calling 302-429-7447.

Herons and History Walk at Fort Delaware State Park

Begins at 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a birding walk to one of the largest locations for heron spottings north of Florida. Along the way learn about Pea Patch Island's history as well. Binoculars and insect repellent recommended.
