Craft Beer Dinner at the Cape May Lewes Ferry

Looking to tempt your taste buds? The ferry has partnered with local craft breweries to host five course dinners with special menus. December 18th dinner will be paired by craft beer selections from 16 Mile Brewery.

The Saint John’s Bible: Illuminating the Word Exhibit
Friday - Sunday
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Known as the St. John’s Bible, the oversized and lavishly illustrated book is the result of a 15-year effort by world-class calligraphers and artists who used hand-ground paints, ancient inks and quills to decorate each page. The exhibition highlights 70 pages of the Bible, accompanied by a display of tools, materials and artists’ drafts used in its creation.

Holidays at Hagley

10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The 1803 du Pont family ancestral home, Eleutherian Mills, will feature holiday decorations and interpretation on the French traditions of exchanging gifts on New Year’s Day and the celebration of Twelfth Night. Dried flowers, greenery, fruits, and other natural materials create a beautiful holiday ambiance accentuated by soft lights and Christmas music. Exhibit included in admission.

Holidays in Odessa

Get in the festive spirit at Historic Odessa's annual Holiday Celebration - a seasonal tradition of interpreting scenes from classic literature throughout the historic houses in Odessa. This year the National Historic Register Wilson-Warner House has been transformed into vignettes inspired by Lewis Carroll’s, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Nemours Mansion & Gardens Holiday Tours

Come enjoy the open-air rink that is within walking distance to delicious restaurants. Admission is $8 (ages 13 & up) and $5 (age 12 & under). Skate rental is $3 per skater.

Weekend Wonderland in Bethany

Holiday Lights Express on the Wilmington & Western Railroad

Enjoy a peaceful interlude at the end of the year with a 45-minute evening ride aboard our heated 1929 Pennsylvania Railroad "Doodlebug" railcar (which is covered with thousands of holiday lights). Many of our trackside neighbors decorate their homes and yards for our passengers to enjoy. The train departs every hour starting at 5:00 PM. Reservations are required.
