"Driving Desire: Automobile Advertising and the American Dream" exhibit at Hagley Museum

The “Driving Desire" exhibit at Hagley Museum explores the relationship between automobile advertising and Americans’ car buying decisions. This new exhibition features more than one hundred artifacts and historic images, drawing heavily from Hagley’s Z. Taylor Vinson collection of transportation ephemera.

The Saint John’s Bible: Illuminating the Word Exhibit
Friday - Sunday
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Known as the St. John’s Bible, the oversized and lavishly illustrated book is the result of a 15-year effort by world-class calligraphers and artists who used hand-ground paints, ancient inks and quills to decorate each page. The exhibition highlights 70 pages of the Bible, accompanied by a display of tools, materials and artists’ drafts used in its creation.

Horizon Riverfront Outdoor Ice Skating Rink
Friday - Sunday
Friday: 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.; Saturday: 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.; Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Come enjoy the open-air rink that is within walking distance to delicious restaurants. Admission is $8 (ages 13 & up) and $5 (age 12 & under). Skate rental is $3 per skater.

Take a tour and sample some Delaware Craft Beer! The best deal in town, for $5 you get the tour, samples of beer, and a pint glass to take home. Sample signature beers, Oak Barrel Stout and Hop Mountain.

Chapel Street Junction Concert at the Old State House

Enjoy the sounds of Chapel Street Junction in the historic Old State House. The five piece band is rooted in bluegrass but, plays traditional country, irish and Ragtime songs.

Free admission to the Delaware Art Museum

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
Admission to the museum is free to all visitors every Sunday. The Delaware Art Museum is best known for its large collection of British Pre-Raphaelite art, works by Wilmington-native Howard Pyle and fellow American illustrators, and urban landscapes by John Sloan and his circle.

January Hike Series - Delaware Seashore State Park

Join park interpreters as they share the history and folklore of Delaware Seashore State Park on a guided hike. Preregistration is required by call (302) 227-6991 by 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9th. Cost is $5 per person.
