"Driving Desire: Automobile Advertising and the American Dream" exhibit at Hagley Museum

The “Driving Desire" exhibit at Hagley Museum explores the relationship between automobile advertising and Americans’ car buying decisions. This new exhibition features more than one hundred artifacts and historic images, drawing heavily from Hagley’s Z. Taylor Vinson collection of transportation ephemera.

The Saint John’s Bible: Illuminating the Word Exhibit
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Sunday: 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM
Biggs Museum of American Art
Known as the St. John’s Bible, the oversized and lavishly illustrated book is the result of a 15-year effort by world-class calligraphers and artists who used hand-ground paints, ancient inks and quills to decorate each page. The exhibition highlights 70 pages of the Bible, accompanied by a display of tools, materials and artists’ drafts used in its creation.

Tales of Slavery and Freedom Walking Tour

Discover tales of the past with tours led by historical interpreters in period dress at First State Heritage Park. Tours begin at the John Bell House on The Green every hour and last approximately 45 minutes.

History Hayride at Trap Pond State Park
