Uncover the facts, fictions, and fossils of Dinosaur Revolution as you LIVE LARGE in reptilian role-play activities at the Delaware Museum of Natural History's newest special exhibit. Undertake three Mesozoic Missions spanning 150 million years and mimic dinosaur behavior; become a junior paleontologist and find evidence of your dinosaur doings; learn why dinosaurs are one of the most successful survivors in earth’s history; and unearth a shocking discovery: dinosaurs may not be extinct! Open during Museum hours: Monday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Sunday noon to 4:30 p.m.

Justison Landing Green, will be transformed into Wilmington’s own “Rockefeller Center” with holiday decorations, twinkling lights, and festive music. The beautiful green grassy area will give way to a 72’ x 120’ skating rink. The rink will be able to accommodate approximately 350 skaters at a time. Horizon Services Riverfront Rink will not only bring a fun winter tradition of skating to downtown Wilmington, it will also offer numerous programs and promotions throughout the skating season.

Wilmington & Western Hockessin Art Festival

The Wilmington & Western Railroad's Hockessin Art Festival benefits the railroad. The all-volunteer Wilmington & Western operates steam- and diesel-powered trains year-round on 10-miles of track through Delaware's historic Red Clay Valley. While at the Art Festival, take a break from shopping by riding the "Festival Express." Our vintage 1929 Pennsylvania Railroad railcar will depart from the Festival, and our friendly train crew will take you on a 40-minute round-trip through the towns of Yorklyn and Ashland.

Bluebird Trail Spring Hike

Join us as we walk the Bluebird Trail and help us inspect and clean out our nests for the upcoming spring. Enjoy a lovely walk through the meadows, learn about birds and help prepare for the spring nesting season. If you are interested in helping monitor in the summer, you can sign up to volunteer after the program. Pre-registration encouraged.
