Two of Texas' most magnificent singer/songwriters, and longtime friends, Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen will join forces for a rare acoustic performance that will integrate elements from both artists' 30-year careers fusing country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues. With his gift for storytelling, singer-composer-actor Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 15 albums. Among his many accolades, besides his four Grammy Awards, he was given the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was named the Texas State Musician. His works, rich and eclectic, are some of the most beloved of any living artist working today. Fellow musical trailblazer Robert Earl Keen emerged on the Texas music scene in the 1980s where he quickly earned a reputation for his unusual balance of sensitive story-telling and raucousness. BMI recently presented him with their first ever Troubadour Award for excellence in songwriting.
