New Year, New Brew -Guided Tours of Legislative Hall 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. -Some Brew It Hot from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the John Bell House on The Green - Come learn about the history of hot and cold beverages and their place in American history. From tea to ale, from punch to coffee, explore the fascinating world of flavors and histories of some of our most popular drinks then and now! -Prohibition in Delaware: No Toast for the Boys off to Fight in WWI from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. atThe Old State House on The Green - Guided tours will examine the era of prohibition and share Delaware’s history of beverages during the First World War. -The Victors of WWI: The Power of Music from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Johnson Victrola Museum A lively guided tour examines the influence of music recorded by the Victor Record Company and the patriotic songs that were composed as well as the Victor Talking Machine Company’s role in making the world safe for democracy during World War I. -Tours of the Governor’s House from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. - Enjoy guided tours of the official residence of Delaware’s Governor since 1965, and Hall House, the Governor’s guest house. Women of The Green Walking Tour - Tours are offered on the hour, beginning at 10 a.m. Last tour leaves at 3 p.m. Meet at the John Bell House on The Green. -Biggs Kids: Snowy Landscapes from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (drop-in any time) at the Biggs Museum of American Art. Celebrate the winter season by making your own snowy landscape. Ages 4-10. -The Kalmar Nyckel: New Discoveries 10:30 a.m. at the Delaware Public Archives - Bill Hutchison, Lead Educator Emeritus for the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation, will focus on how the ship operated, navigated and fired its guns.
