City Theater Company kicks off their 2014-2015 season with a huge concert at World Cafe Live at The Queen: COME TOGETHER, an evening of Beatles music performed by 17 singers, a six-piece rock band, a nine-piece horn section, and a string quartet. Popular WIlmington rocker Joe Trainor produces the event after last year's highly successful Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert. Proceeds for this epic event benefit City Theater Company, now in its 21st year as Delaware's Off-Broadway. CTC attracts talent and audience from throughout the tri-state area as they present re-imagined takes on classics, new works by local playwrights and musicians, and special events such as Come Together. The show is a career-spanning retrospective of the Fab Four’s song catalog, mixing up #1 hits like She Loves You and A Hard Day’s Night to fan favorites like Norwegian Wood and The Ballad of John and Yoko. Proceeds benefit City Theater Company. From the their early days at The Cavern Club, through the psychedelic era and beyond, The Beatles re-wrote the book on popular songs and set the stage for the next 50 years of music. Trainor’s goal is to recreate the sound of the classic recordings live on stage. Beatles fans are sure to appreciate this unique chance to hear the Fab Four's catalog live.
