Explore the state of Delaware
From the Parking lot off of Thompkins Bridge Road, cross the road and take the old road/trail north. At the Bike trail sign take the single track steep trail off to the right until you come to a larger trail (see trail junction waypoint). Go to the right a short distance. The cache is about 75 feet off of this trail. The cache is only 0.2 miles from parking as the crow flies, but a longer hike with signficant elevation gain. It can be shorter with a much longer steep uphill bushwhack. Using the trails is recommended.
DGT Brandywine Creek State Park #1 (Coordinates) - N 39° 49.202 W 075° 34.179
First find DGT Brandywine Creek #1, and then continue north on the main trail for about 0.15 miles until it is time to bushwhack up the steep hill. It will be easier to continue on the trail (slowly climbing) and then start your longer but less steep bushwhack. GZ will be obvious when you get close.
DGT Brandywine Creek State Park #2 (Coordinates) - N 39° 49.308 W 075° 34.251
This one is an easy almost drive-up cache to make up for the long hiking caches (Brandywine #1 and #2) or a cache you can get if the long climbing hikes are beyond your ability. From the Parking lot off of Thompkins Bridge Road, follow the trail UNDER the road that goes to the take-out point for Canoe/kayak trips on the Brandywine.
