Parking: Park at Little Creek Wildlife Area parking on DE-9.

The wildlife area consists of over 4,700 acres of natural area consisting of tidal marsh, forest and agricultural fields dedicated to wildlife management. The primary objective of this area is to provide public hunting and fishing.

Hours of Operation: Sun.-Sat. Closed dusk-dawn unless hunting or fishing.

Seasonal Hours: Wildlife area closed for all activities except deer hunting during firearms deer season except Sundays. Waterfowl impoundments and associated dikes closed to all activities except waterfowl hunting during waterfowl hunting seasons. Fishing access area open year-round.

Best Time to Visit: Year-round

Best Known For: Hunting, fishing, crabbing, bird watching

Special Equipment: Bring mosquito repellent during warm seasons.

Special Instructions: Waterfowl, deer, and small-game hunting require a permit.  Area closed for all activities except deer hunting during firearms deer seasons except Sundays. Observe the rails, marsh sparrows, winter raptors, and short-eared owls (seasonal migration).
