A celebration of man's best friend in a family friendly environment. Included are children's activities, food,law enforcement K-9 demonstrations. There will be dog competitions in several categories for your favorite dog. Vendors will be present in our open-air Vendor Village selling various items from dog related products to jewelry. More

Activities include: live music by Nathan Johnson, seasonal food samples and recipes. The Winemaker & The Farmer meet and greet, hay rides & kids' make a card for Mom, Black Twig Hard Apple wine by the glass and bottle plus, Abbotts Grill meals "to go".  More

Meet at the Visitor Center to participate in the Spring Bird Count. Teams will be formed and each team will survey a section of the Refuge. Teams are usually finished around Noon. More

Bring the women in your family and celebrate Mother’s Day with us in the beautiful Cauffiel House. A casual tea will be served at 11 a.m., followed by a staff-led walking tour of the home. $20 per person, $12 for children under 10, children under 3 are free of charge. The image of the eagle has been an important icon in the history of the du Pont family. The du Pont family came to America on the ship “American Eagle," the DuPont Company's first product was Eagle Gun Powder, and decorative arts collected by Mrs. Louise du Pont Crowninshield were adorned with eagles, a common symbolic element in Federal-style furnishings.
