Jazz on My Mind is about keeping jazz alive. Created in Los Angeles in 2008 as a way to educate music enthusiasts about jazz music and its culture, the program has since relocated to Wilmington, DE. Now recorded live at World Cafe Live at the Queen from 8-9pm and followed by an open jam, host Richard Blackwell is proud to showcase performances from jazz greats including legends, and current and future jazz stars who play straight ahead, contemporary, Latin, fusion, smooth jazz and jazz poetry.… More

The image of the eagle has been an important icon in the history of the du Pont family. The du Pont family came to America on the ship “American Eagle," the DuPont Company's first product was Eagle Gun Powder, and decorative arts collected by Mrs. Louise du Pont Crowninshield were adorned with eagles, a common symbolic element in Federal-style furnishings. This exhibit is on display in the du Pont family ancestral home, Eleutherian Mills. Included in regular admission and tour. Free for members.… More

Winterthur’s major new exhibition, Uncorked! Wine, Objects & Tradition, is a joyous celebration of objects and imagery created in response to society’s love of wine. Featuring more than 300 objects, Uncorked! explores how wine was marketed, consumed, and enjoyed in America and Britain from the 1600s through the 1800s. A wide range of materials are represented, from wine bottles, decanters, and cellarettes to lead figures of Bacchus and “Champagne Charlie” song sheets.… More
