Delaware State University is pleased to host the Farmers Market for the third straight year. The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. until late September. This year the location has moved to the corner of Rt. 13 and College Road next to the Agriculture Museum. The entrance is off College Road. Because the mission of Delaware State University includes service to the community, there is no fee or registration to the vendor. More

The image of the eagle has been an important icon in the history of the du Pont family. The du Pont family came to America on the ship “American Eagle," the DuPont Company's first product was Eagle Gun Powder, and decorative arts collected by Mrs. Louise du Pont Crowninshield were adorned with eagles, a common symbolic element in Federal-style furnishings.
