Participants will receive basic instruction on kayaking skills and safety. All boating equipment is provided. Lyle Gun Firing

See history come to life at the Indian River Life-Saving Station Museum! Museum interpreters dressed in period uniform will re-enact the firing of the Lyle Gun, used in Breeches Buoy rescue to bring sailors from a shipwreck to shore. This is the type of gun the surfmen of the Indian River Life-Saving Station would fire routinely on the same beaches over one hundred years ago. More
