This could be the year Delaware becomes the music festival capital of the East Coast. Rolling on the momentum created by Firefly, two new music festivals -- both packed with top country acts -- are on tap for 2015. First up is the Big Barrel Country Music Festival, June 26-28 at Dover International Speedway's Woodlands. Headliners include Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood.
Next up is the Delaware Junction Country Music Festival, set to premier Aug. 14-16 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington, and it looks to be one of the top tickets of the summer. Headliners include Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Toby Keith. Plans call for a two-stage setup -- one for bigger acts, and one for "up-and-comers" -- and there will be on-site camping available.
The big names keep rolling through summer. At the Delaware State Fair (July 23-Aug. 1), the lineup includes New Kids on the Block, Bryan Adams, Meghan Trainor and Josh Turner. Freeman Stage at Bayside has booked some top-notch performers, including The Beach Boys (July 2), Roseanne Cash (June 27), Hall & Oates (June 29) and Heart (July 24).
