It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas at Hagley Museum and Library! Awaken your holiday senses as you enjoy the abundant Christmas and Twelfth Night decorations throughout Eleutherian Mills, the first du Pont family home in America. The 2011 Christmas exhibition showcases Hagley's extensive collection of lace and handwork created and used by the du Pont family in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In addition, you'll see elaborate handmade decorations throughout the house and property from many items grown at the Hagley estate. Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802.
