Dover, DE (March 18, 2021) – The popular Delaware Discoveries Trail has added a new interactive piece of artwork at the Delaware Botanic Gardens in Dagsboro. Just in time for Spring, the 11th Discoveries Trail location showcases one of the state’s newest outdoor attractions.
“The Delaware Discoveries Trail is a one-of-a-kind experience. As we continue to develop and enhance innovative ways to keep the state top of mind with travelers, the trail has increased awareness of destinations among younger travelers and helped drive off-season visitation.” said Liz Keller, Delaware Tourism Director.
Designed and painted by local artist Leah Beach of Developing Artist Collaboration, the new location’s artwork was inspired by the bright naturalistic landscapes and colorful plant life that is found throughout the botanic gardens.
“As we enter our third season, we are excited to have this new activity for travelers to experience at Delaware Botanic Gardens and hope it will increase awareness of the many features of the Garden, especially the Piet Oudolf Meadow which will delight younger residents and visitors. The painting beautifully reflects the colors and flowers in the Meadow.” said Sheryl Swed, Executive Director of the Delaware Botanic Gardens.
While exploring the locations along the trail, travelers can submit four of their #DelawareDiscoveries photos at DelawareDiscoveries.com for a chance to receive a limited-edition prize.
Before visiting be sure to view the Go-To-Guide for tips on how to #ExploreSafelyDE. Remember to plan ahead. Maintain social distancing, wear a face covering and bring hand sanitizer.
