There’s a second Iron Hill Brewery trail location in Newark – within a quick drive away from the Argilla Brewing Co. @ Pietro’s Pizza trail stop, a small family-run brewpub and pizzeria. Both of these locations are close to some great tax-free shopping: Newark’s Main Street, a nationally recognized Great American Main Street, is a great place to browse boutiques and bookstores and Christiana Mall has over 150 upscale brand-name shops.
After shopping, slake your thirst with a stop at Stewart’s Brewing Company, the region’s first brewpub! Sample American craft brews influenced by England, Germany, France, and Belgium followed by some hearty pub fare.

But first, get a taste of some of the best craft beer in the nation! Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton is one of those delightfully fun and funky places, complete with a steampunk-style treehouse and tastings of Delaware’s beloved “off-centered ales for off-centered people.” Food is available at the brewery, but save your appetite for the Dogfish Brewpub in Rehoboth Beach, where the Dogfish legend started, and have a shot at tasting some experimental brews only served pub-side!
As you head further south, stop by Nassau Valley Vineyards in Lewes, Delaware’s first farm winery, for an education about the 8,000-year history of wine and wine-making and a variety of sweet to-dry and white-to-red wines.
