How do I park at the beaches? Save time in Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Lewes and Bethany Beach by using Parkmobile, which allows pay-by-phone parking at metered spaces in all four towns. Travel Tip: Remember that there’s free parking in Dewey Beach during events such as Movies on the Beach and bonfires, Mon.-Wed. from 5p.m.-11 p.m.

Are pets allowed on the public beaches? Pets are not permitted in the swimming areas during the summer season. Some beaches do allow pets on the beach in the off-season. Check the town's website for more.

Are campfires allowed on the beach or in state parks? Fires are not allowed on public beaches, but Delaware state parks allow campfires at campsites with fire rings.

Can I drive on the beach? Yes, if you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, a surf fishing permit and are actively engaged in fishing while you are there. Visit the home page of each state park to purchase a Surf Fishing Permit at Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware Seashore State Park, and Fenwick Island State Park.

Are there showers and changing rooms on the beach or boardwalk? Rehoboth Beach has no public showers, but there are rinse-off showers along the boardwalk, and most of the state park beaches have pavilions with full shower and changing room facilities.

Is there a fee to get on the beach in Delaware? No. Delaware has no public beach access fee. The state parks do have an entrance fee.

Which airport is closest to Rehoboth Beach? There is an airport in Salisbury, MD, that is a 45-minute rental-car drive from Rehoboth Beach. Philadelphia International Airport and Baltimore-Washington International are within driving distance.
