Costuming The Crown at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library will open March 30, 2019.  The exhibit will tell a story of the royal family featuring 40 iconic costumes from the Netflix’s series including Queen Elizabeth’s remarkable gold coronation robe.

Kid Friendly
Children can now explore the 19th century Delaware through interactive areas that make up of a scale model Cape Henlopen Lighthouse, with a Morse code station, fog horn and reflecting lights; a replica of the Lewes General Store and post office; the Delaware River Pilots’ simulation module; an electronic table-top boat-building area; and the lighthouse “keeper’s cottage.” Lewes Historical Society Children’s Discovery Center is located in the Lewes History Museum.

Discovery Tours

Delmarva Discover Tours is now offering the Ultimate Farm Experience Tour. Visit a local farm and ride along in a COMBINE and/or Grain Cart during harvest season.  This is super fun and the farmers have a wealth of information to share about farming life in Sussex County, Delaware.

First State Brew Tours will drive you to the best pours in northern Delaware. Nine DE on Tap locations are featured on this tour. Each tour will stop at 3 of the 9 locations and will include transportation, flights at each location, food trucks and guaranteed fun!

Scenic Views
Wilmington and New Castle are now connected by the 7 mile northern New Castle, Jack A. Markell Trail. This scenic route is perfect for all walkers, runners and bikers. The trail passes popular locations including the Christiana River and the Wilmington Riverfront.

2019 marks the biggest year in Dover International Speedway’s illustrious history as the Monster Mile celebrates its 50th anniversary season and hosts its 100th Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.
