The big ball is about to drop on 2022, and Delaware’s getting ready for a sizzling statewide party. Families can have a blast at the free fireworks shows, and revelers can dance and dine the night away at some of the state’s most happening nightspots and restaurants.


New Year's Eve Fireworks @ Wilmington Riverfront

The fireworks will light the Christina River in a show that will be visible from anywhere along the Riverwalk. (Tip: A prime viewing spot is between the Public Dock and Riverfront Market areas.)

New Year's Eve Confetti Countdown @ Delaware Children's Museum

The celebrations last all day here, with “confetti drops” scheduled at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., and live music and puppet shows adding to the fun.
