Lewes Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration

Take a walk back in time at the all-day Independence Day celebration. Watch the Boat Parade along the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and the Doo-Dah Parade on Kings Highway/Savannah Road/Second Street. Enjoy old-fashioned games for kids and to top it all off, this year there will be fireworks at dusk!

Bethany Beach Independence Day Celebration

The patriotic celebration starts early in the quiet beach town, kicking off with a parade at noon followed entertainment and the day wraps up with a fireworks show to remember.

Dover 4th of July Celebration

This all-day celebration starts with vendors and food trucks galore along with plenty of games and activities for the kids and concludes with fireworks gleaming over Legislative Hall.

Wilmington Fireworks
Wilmington Fireworks Express at the Wilmington & Western Railroad
7:00 PM
Embark on a short train ride from the Greenbank Station to Hockessin for the annual fireworks show. The train will return at approximately 11 p.m. Purchase tickets in advance here.

Wilmington Riverfront July 4th Celebration
2:00 PM - 9:30 PM
The public is invited to bring a blanket, chair, lawn games, and your own picnic. Local vendors – including an old-fashioned Eastern Shore crab feast tent – will be on hand, as will local bands, children’s games, trackless train rides, and other family-themed activities. The day will conclude with a celebratory concert and fireworks show.

Hockessin 4th of July Festival

The town of Hockessin is throwing a special all-day festival with a parade, kids’ activities, entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden and fireworks, too!

Newark 4th of July Fireworks and Liberty Day
6:00 PM
A full day of fun is happening at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex, including fine arts and crafts booth and games for kids. Live music starts at 6 PM followed by fireworks at dusk.

Dewey Beach Fireworks
9:00 PM
Dine at your favorite bay-side restaurant or have a drink and listen to some good music at one of Dewey’s famous bars to see the beautiful fireworks show over the bay. Walk to the bay or take the Jolly Trolly. Some of the best views can be found at North Beach or Ivy.

Smyrna/Clayton 4th of July Celebration

For early risers, start your day off at Smyrna’s annual Fourth of July parade which draws floats from organizations across the state. In the afternoon, there will be plenty of kid’s activities and the Annual Baby Contest. You won’t want to miss the Zerbini Family Circus showings at 2PM and 6PM. Family taking a selfie

Elsmere Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks

Start your celebrations early, with some of the best Fireworks in New Castle County. Food trucks, vendors, and games start at 5:00 PM and the fireworks start at dusk.
