The Queen
This local gem is housed in a 19th-century building which has transformed over the years from hotel to movie theater and in 2011, live performance venue. From classic rock to modern Latin vibes, this venue allows you to enjoy top music in the heart of Wilmington.
Ladybug Music Festival
This annual celebration of women in music takes place in both Wilmington (July) and Milford (September) and with free admission and musicians with amazing talent, the entertainment value can’t be beat.
OperaDelaware
With an annual festival every April as well as shows throughout the year, any opera-lover is sure to be pleased with the performances OperaDelaware puts on. If you enjoy wine, be sure to check out an Opera Uncorked session featuring world class opera in an intimate setting with a wine tasting.
Firefly Music Festival
The highlight of Delaware’s music scene happens every June with the arrival of Firefly Music Festival which features over 100 bands over three days drawing tens of thousands of fans. Artists range from radio staples like The Killers and Post Malone to up and coming musicians sure to make the charts by the time next year’s festival rolls around.
Delaware State Fair
For 10 days every summer, the Harrington racetrack lights up with a stage showcasing some of the biggest names in country music. The full lineup is announced each spring. Check here for updates on this year’s acts.
Hudson Fields
This part-time sports venue is home to the HighwayOne Concert Series every summer featuring artists like Jake Owen and Old Dominion. Just off DE-1 you can pull off for a concert on your way to or from the Delaware beaches.
Rusty Rudder
This bayside restaurant transforms into a live music haven every summer night. Be sure to try Dewey Beach’s signature Orange Crush during the show. Live outdoor entertainment continues into the fall.
Bottle & Cork
Dewey’s self-proclaimed “Greatest Rock and Roll Bar in the World” brings big names to the small beach town year after year. When the town quiets down after the height of summer, Bottle & Cork continues to bring the noise.
Freeman Stage at Bayside
This outdoor performance arts venue in southern Delaware brings big hitters across genres. Enjoy the entertainment and the perfect weather while acts like The Temptations, Pat Benetar, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra, Jeff Foxworthy and even works of Shakespeare take the stage.
