The exhibit explores the First State's role in the pre-Civil War network of secret routes and safe houses used by black slaves in the United States to escape to free states and Canada with the aid of abolitionists and allies who were sympathetic to their cause. Focusing on two Delawareans who played important roles in this illegal and clandestine enterprise-Samuel D. Burris and Thomas Garrett.

Billed as the premier East Coast festival for women, this event features first-rate national entertainment, informative workshops, exquisite food, and the best beach vibe around. Added attractions include golf outings, walking tours, craft fair and dances.

Costumes of Downton Abbey® exhibit at Winterthur Museum and Gardens

“Costumes of Downton Abbey” is an original exhibition of exquisite designs from the award-winning television series. Approximately 35 historically accurate costumes from the television show will be displayed with photographs and vignettes inspired by the fictional program and by real life at Winterthur. Visitors will have a chance to step into and experience the world of Downton Abbey® and the contrasting world of Winterthur founder Henry Francis du Pont and his contemporaries in the first half of the 20th century. Timed tickets for the exhibit are required.

Easter Bunny Express on the Wilmington and Western Railroad

Train departs at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The Easter Bunny hops aboard the Wilmington and Western Railroad for a 1½-hour round-trip ride to Ashland, and all kids will get a special treat. Bring your camera and have the Easter Bunny pose for a picture with your child. Departure times are 12:30 and 2:30 pm. Reservations are recommended and can be made on their website.

Enjoy a pregame Fun Zone from 12-1 p.m. featuring interactive games and inflatables. All kids who bring an "A" on their report card are able to purchase $1 tickets to the lacrosse game.
