22nd Annual Nanticoke Riverfest

The 22nd annual Nanticoke Riverfest in Seaford, Delaware will be held on Friday & Saturday, July 8th and 9th 2016. It's "Boot Scootin' on the Nanticoke" for the next event. The annual event will featured the famous "Float-In" where hundreds of folks, donned with various types of inflatables, take to the Nanticoke River and float toward the event location.

Lewes Summer Craft Fair

With its wealth of historical sites, museums, unique shops, restaurants and pristine beaches, Lewes is an exciting destination for craft buyers and visitors alike. The Lewes Summer Craft Fair is well known for the exceptional quality of the craftspeople, including new and returning artists from across Delmarva and the Eastern Shore. This year, there will be over 70 talented artisans exhibiting a variety of media ranging from metalwork to woodworking. Enjoy delicious food and cool treats. Fun for all, a kids' corner will provide entertaining activities. Old and New Bluegrass Band will preform from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

36th Annual Sandcastle Contest

Fort Delaware POW Day

Fort Delaware was built for the nation's defense, but served as a prisoner-of-war camp during the Civil War. On these special weekends we will highlight the experience of captured Confederate soldiers. See the in-processing procedures, mail call, and speak to the incarcerated rebels about their experience of the war.

Pontoon Boat Tour

Join Winterthur's horticulture staff for monthly garden walks highlighting interesting and seldom seen parts of the Winterthur landscape. Walks begin at the Visitor Center. We'll walk up Farm Hill to see if the wineberries are ripe and watch the Chimney Swifts roost. Bring a flashlight and wear walking shoes.
