Clifford Brown Jazz Festival

The DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is the largest, multi-day, free, outdoor music festival on the East Coast. Taking place in downtown Wilmington. At this festival artists have performed some of Clifford's great work. Past festival patrons have heard Artists like Chic Corea, Jerry Gonzalez, Pete Escovedo and his orchestra, KEM, Jonathan Butler, Lalath Hathaway, Kirk Whalum, Rick Braun, and Norman Brown have all performed here.

Fireworks at Hagley

Don’t miss Delaware’s best fireworks show! This members-only event is held each year, for two Fridays in June. It is a spectacular evening of family fun. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner, blankets, coolers, and chairs.

Summer Nights at Mt. Cuba

On Fridays in June, explore the idyllic gardens of Mt. Cuba Center after-hours for Summer Nights. Unwind from your week and relax with an evening in the gardens. Occurs on Fridays in June, rain or shine.

Mid-Atlantic Sea Glass & Coastal Arts Festival

The two-day Mid-Atlantic Sea Glass Festival will feature nearly seventy sea glass artists, joined by other coastal artists- including decoy carvers and waterfowl artists. Vendors come from up and down the East Coast, and as far away as the Virgin Islands, Greece, and Italy. Artisans craft beautiful pieces of jewelry, stained glass and other decorative treasurers from sea glass. Enjoy festive live music and delicious food all weekend.

New Castle County Ice Cream Festival

The Great Train Robbery

Train departs at 12:30 & 3:00 PM. The cast of Act 1 Productions captures the train with their villains, desperados, renegades, outlaws, music and singers! Get on board for a fun-filled afternoon you and the kids are sure to enjoy. This is an approximately 2-hour round-trip to the Mt. Cuba Picnic Grove, which includes a half-hour layover at the Picnic Grove.

California reggae act Dirty Heads, which played Firefly Music Festival in 2015, will be teamed up with Grammy-nominated, Virginia-based reggae band SOJA, which features Seaford native Trevor Young on lead guitar.
