The Saint John’s Bible: Illuminating the Word Exhibit
Friday - Sunday
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Known as the St. John’s Bible, the oversized and lavishly illustrated book is the result of a 15-year effort by world-class calligraphers and artists who used hand-ground paints, ancient inks and quills to decorate each page. The exhibition highlights 70 pages of the Bible, accompanied by a display of tools, materials and artists’ drafts used in its creation.

Take a tour and sample some Delaware Craft Beer! The best deal in town, for $5 you get the tour, samples of beer, and a pint glass to take home. Sample signature beers, Oak Barrel Stout and Hop Mountain.

Anything Goes performed by Clear Space Theatre

Anything Goes is sure to be a toe-tapper! Enjoy a stellar performance by Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach. This musical include scores by Cole Porter such as; "You're the Top," "I Get a Kick Out of You" and much more.

Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society is pleased to partner with the Seaside Jewish Community in programming the first Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival. The mission of this event will be "to deepen awareness of Jewish cultures and experiences, and to explore community difference and commonalities through the art of film." The Festival will be held at the new Cinema Art Theater, located behind the Lewes Wawa at 17701 Dartmouth Drive, #2, Dartmouth Plaza, Lewes. Seven films will be screened over four days (March 17-20, 2016). Individual film reservations can be purchased for $11 each. Alternatively, three- or five-film packages can be purchased for $30 or $45, respectively.

Wilmington Winter Bluegrass Festival

The Wilmington Winter Bluegrass Festival returns for another great year of music from Applachia. Enjoy the banjos, fiddles and every other instrument that makes this truly American music form great over three days at the Crowne Plaza Wilmington North.

Easter Bunny Express

The Easter Bunny hops aboard our train for a 1½-hour round-trip ride to Ashland, and all kids will get a special treat. Bring your camera and have the Easter Bunny pose for a picture with your child. This event is powered by one of our antique steam locomotives. Train departures: 12:30 & 2:30 PM and reservations are strongly suggested.

Night Sounds on the Refuge – A Guided Walk

Discover the sounds of nature during this evening walk with a volunteer guide. Come prepared for the weather and expect frequent stops. Beginner nature enthusiasts are welcome. Space is limited due to popular demand. Pre-registration is required by calling the refuge office at (302) 684-8419.

“Basically Beethoven” Spring Classical Concert

The Dover Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Donald Buxton will perform a program of works composed exclusively by Beethoven. Centerpiece of the concert is his acclaimed Symphony No. 7 in A Major. Additional works include Egmont Overture, Turkish March from “The Ruins of Athens,” and two of Beethoven’s Romances for Violin and Orchestra, featuring the exquisite playing of Stefan Xhori, our talented concertmaster. Valet parking will be offered at $5.00. Additionally there will be free shuttle service throughout the parking lots. Sweet treats will continue to be offered at our Bake Sale.

The Museum will be open to the public on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in 2015. Thursday evenings after 4:00 p.m. will be free and Sundays will remain free all day. The Museum Store and Thronson Café will also be open. Extended hours are made possible by generous Museum supporters and the Longwood Foundation. Visit for more information.
