Greenbank Paints: A Plein Air Event

Celebrate a weekend of local artwork and historic landmarks with Greenbank Mills and Philips Farm. Revel in the change of seasons and brisk autumn nights with an evening of spectacular art, local libations, and delicious delicacies.

2018 Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival

11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival features all of Delaware's breweries, wineries and distilleries in one location! The festival includes music, performers, games, DJ's, and access to a select number of local eateries featuring gourmet foods and Delaware delicacies. An on-site wine store will offer discounted prices on bottles or cases of Delaware-made wines. You must be 21 to attend.

Leipsic Oyster Festival

The first-ever Leipsic Waterfront Oyster Festival is a family event with lots of free activities – games, wagon rides, and educational programs. And, of course, oysters. All of the food and merchandise proceeds benefit the Leipsic Watermen and Farmers Museum.

Cheesetoberfest is an all-out, no holds barred, Grilled Cheese/Mac N Cheese competition, being held at Fordham & Dominion Brewing, which features local restaurants battling it out to see who will be this year’s Grand Cheezmo! In keeping with the cheesiness of the event, an oompah band will provide the entertainment.

This Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter will grace the Rollins Center stage at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino with her hits “A Real Fine Place To Start,” “Born to Fly,” and “A Little Bit Stronger.”

National Wildlife Refuge Week

6:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.
Come out and celebrate "National Wildlife Refuge Week” at Bombay Hook. The refuge entrance fee of $4.00 will be waivered for Sunday, so invite your friends and enjoy the day exploring the refuge and relaxing in nature. There are trails to walk, towers to climb and birds and other wildlife to observe. Great place for photography. Or just drive the 12 mile auto tour and watch a sunrise or sunset over the marsh.

Hayrides at Hagley

Adults $14, Seniors and students $10, Children 6-14 $5, children 5 and under free
Families can take a hayride along the Brandywine to experience the beautiful fall foliage in the Powder Yard. Guests can create fall-themed crafts, and see a gunpowder explosion, roll mill in action, and working nineteenth-century machines.

 Lewes: A Maritime Gateway Past and Present

Journey through Lewes’s salty past while learning of the explorers who first put Lewes on the map, the pirates that sailed the local waters, and the brave United States Life-Saving Servicemen who rescued victims from perilous shipwrecks. This 60-minute walking tour includes admission to both the Lewes Life-Saving Station and the Cannonball House Maritime Museum.
