The festival includes music, performers, games, DJ's, and access to a select number of local eateries featuring gourmet foods and Delaware delicacies. An on-site wine store will offer discounted prices on bottles or cases of Delaware-made wines. You must be 21 to attend.

Leipsic Oyster Festival

The first-ever Leipsic Waterfront Oyster Festival is a family event with lots of free activities – games, wagon rides, and educational programs. And, of course, oysters. All of the food and merchandise proceeds benefit the Leipsic Watermen and Farmers Museum.

National Wildlife Refuge Week

Come out and celebrate "National Wildlife Refuge Week” at Bombay Hook. The refuge entrance fee of $4.00 will be waivered for Sunday, so invite your friends and enjoy the day exploring the refuge and relaxing in nature. There are trails to walk, towers to climb and birds and other wildlife to observe. Great place for photography. Or just drive the 12 mile auto tour and watch a sunrise or sunset over the marsh.

Hayrides at Hagley

Families can take a hayride along the Brandywine to experience the beautiful fall foliage in the Powder Yard. Guests can create fall-themed crafts, and see a gunpowder explosion, roll mill in action, and working nineteenth-century machines.

 Lewes: A Maritime Gateway Past and Present

Journey through Lewes’s salty past while learning of the explorers who first put Lewes on the map, the pirates that sailed the local waters, and the brave United States Life-Saving Servicemen who rescued victims from perilous shipwrecks. This 60-minute walking tour includes admission to both the Lewes Life-Saving Station and the Cannonball House Maritime Museum.
