Popular activities include the Costume Parade, Dog Parade, Sea Witch® Hunt, kid’s games on the beach, trick or treating, hayrides, vendor area and free live entertainment on the bandstand all weekend long!

Lantern Tour of the Green

Witness firsthand the true stories of murders and encounter characters whose legends have left their sinister imprint on the Green.

Wags, Witches and Warlocks
Saturday, October 26 – Sunday, October 27, 2019
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Bethany Beach
This annual Halloween festival and parade brings families and pets to town for a day of fun while raising money and awareness for the Brandywine Valley SPCA. The parade gets under way at 10 a.m. with the costume contest afterwards at 10:30 a.m. Safely Trick or Treat at the town businesses from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

William Penn Day

“William Penn Day” is a day-long series of activities commemorating the 337th anniversary of Penn’s Oct. 27, 1682 disembarkment at New Castle, his first landing in the New World. Admission for all programs is free and open to the public. 

Pumpkin Carving at Killens Pond State Park

Ghost Tales & Spirit Night

Take a chilling tram ride through the grounds of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library after nightfall and hear scary stories about the estate that will give you goose bumps. You’ll have a perfectly spooky time in the dark with terrifying trivia, tricky tarot cards, and spirits—to drink! 

Murder Mystery Dinner

Halloween Express on the Wilmington & Western Railroad

12:30, 2 and 3:30 p.m.
Our friendly railroad witch visits the Wilmington & Western to ride the train and visit with all the children. All passengers in costume--both adults and children ride for just $10.00 on this one-hour round-trip to Mt. Cuba.

Halloween Parade and Trick or Treat
Sunday, October 27, 2019
3 – 5 p.m.
Ghosts, goblins, fairies, and princesses; join in the fun of Trick or Treat Main Street. There will be goodies from many stores and downtown businesses, and much more. Bring a camera and have your picture taken in the pumpkin patch. All municipal lots will offer free parking to cars during the events.
