2018 Wetland Festival
The 2018 Wetland Festival celebrates and preserves the community’s traditions of boats, hunting, fishing and trapping. The event features more than 40 artists, demonstrators, and exhibitors - ‘Voices of Tradition’ presenters on topics ranging from hanging net for shad and sturgeon fishing, crabbing, eeling, historic wooden boats, trapping, progging, and hunting. Children’s activities, including “Jungle John” who will present his live animal show, and live music provided by ‘Crabmeat’ Thompson. The sailing shad skiff “Groeningen Miss” will be displayed.
