Before & during the festival, stop by the Delaware Historical Society to see an eclectic collection of Clifford Brown materials, donated to the Society by Paul Preston Davis. Memorabilia includes original vinyl albums & covers (artwork in their own right); an original pencil drawing by artist Ben Pearce for Mayor James Baker's book "Genuine American Music"; a copy of Nick Catalano's book "Clifford Brown"; and Steven Leech's essay "Secret City of Jazz." Even hear a recording of Brown's nationally televised appearance on the "Soupy Sales Show," a popular TV venue in the 1950s & 60s.
