Summer kicks off with the three-day Firefly Music Festival, a must-do for savvy music lovers into any genre – hip-hop to electronica to indie and even classics like Paul McCartney. The 2019 lineup features Panic! At the Disco, Travis Scott and Post Malone, to name a few.
A weekend of camping at Firefly makes for a quick drive to Delaware’s beaches which are never short on entertainment.
For a rocking night at the beach, jam out at one of Dewey Beach’s prime live music spots like the “Greatest Rock and Roll Bar in the World,” the Bottle & Cork which draws in top acts like the Struts and Andy Grammer.
From the same folks behind the Bottle & Cork come Hudson Fields – a large outdoor venue where you can tap your feet top-billed acts, like Jake Owen and Old Dominion.
More top acts round out southern Delaware at Freeman Stage which plays host to artists like Diana Ross and Bend Folds in 2019.
In July, the Delaware State Fair keeps things hopping with a dependably star-studded lineup, featuring country headliners including Reba McEntire and Sugarland.
If you want a low key experience during a beach vacation with the family, be sure to check out the bandstands in Rehoboth and Bethany Beaches. Free concerts are a great addition to an evening stroll on the boardwalk.
