Firefly Music Festival

Top Summer Concerts in Delaware

When summer arrives, the stage is set in Delaware for sunshine-filled weekends featuring some of the nation’s top music acts.

Summer kicks off with the four-day Firefly Music Festival, a must-do for savvy music lovers into any genre – hip-hop to electronica to indie and even classics like Paul McCartney. The 2017 lineup features the Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots and Bob Dylan to name a few.

A weekend of camping at Firefly makes for a quick drive to Delaware’s beaches which are never short on entertainment.

Bottle & CorkFor a rocking night at the beach, you jam out at a live show at Dewey Beach’s entertainment staple Bottle & Cork. The intimate venue draws in national acts like the Struts and Rusted Root in 2017.

From the same folks behind the Bottle & Cork come Hudson Fields – a larger outdoor venue with 2017 top-billed acts, including Fitz and the Tantrums.

The big names keep rolling in at Freeman Stage which will play host to The Wallflowers, Hunter Hayes, Sutton Foster and more for summer 2017.

In July, the Delaware State Fair keeps things hopping with a dependably star-studded lineup, featuring headliners including Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker.

Delaware has more than big names in large venues, it also has plenty to offer if you want to keep things low-key with smaller venues including the bandstands in Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach. Both offer free concerts that are perfect for folks vacationing at the Delaware beaches.
