I-95 Updates

Restore the Corridor DelDOTPardon our progress as we aim to improve Delaware’s collection of highways and byways that carry you in and out of your destinations. With stretches of I-95 around the Wilmington area set to close for construction from Spring 2021 to Summer 2023, here’s how to navigate your way in and around the Northern part of the state so you don’t miss a minute of your next trip.

Traveling to Central and Southern Delaware
If you’re planning to head to either central or southern Delaware and will be traveling through I-95 South to get to Delaware Rt. 1:

  • If you are entering Delaware heading South on I-95 towards Woodacres, take exit 11 to South I-495
  • Continue south on I-495 and then take exit onto South I-95 toward Newark/Baltimore
  • Use the right two lanes and take exit 4A onto Delaware Rt. 1 toward central and southern Delaware

  • If you are entering Delaware from U.S. Rt 202, take the right lane ramp to Delaware Rt. 141 S. near Fairfax
  • Stay on Delaware Rt. 141 until you can merge onto South I-95 heading toward Newark/Baltimore
  • Use the right two lanes and take exit 4A onto Delaware Rt. 1 toward central and southern Delaware

Both roads will bring you back over to I-95 just south of the construction, and you can continue your travels to the central and southern portions of the state.
