Abbott's Mill Nature Center of Delaware Nature Society

Abbott’s Mill is one of the few remaining water-powered mills in the state. Milling was once a major part of the agricultural economy in Delaware. Anywhere that it was possible, a mill existed to process grains such as wheat and corn, the chief crops. It has survived in excellent condition as a late-19th to early-20th-century mill. There is a Nature Center behind the mill buildings, nature trails also run through the undeveloped land to the rear of the property, and workshops, exhibits, walking trails, courses, and other programs are run daily.
