Parking: Two lots inside main entrances and one each at entrances on the other side of the river.
Approximately 1,100 acres of woodlands and meadows, miles of hiking and biking trails, 18-hole disc golf course and 5k cross-country course. Different nature programs for all ages. Canoeing and tubing on the Brandywine River.
Hours of Operation: Park: 8 a.m.-sunset. Office: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Best Time to Visit: Fall for for autumn colors, winter for sledding.
Best Known For: Hiking, bird watching, sledding.
Special Equipment: For hiking, bring a good pair of shoes or boots. Trails are a mix of paved, rustic and rough.
Special Instructions: Pets must be on a leash. Bikes are permitted only on certain trails. Must have a fishing license. No hunting permitted. Daily entrance fee March 1-Nov. 30.
