The park provides opportunities for recreation including picnicking, boating, fishing and hiking, as well as tennis and basketball courts.  The boat ramp is at the northeast corner of the park.

Hours of Operation: 8 a.m.-sunset daily, year round

Seasonal Hours: The boat ramp is open all year, but docks are pulled out in November and are not put back in the water until February or March.

Best Time to Visit: The park is beautiful during all seasons.

Best Known For: A great place to spot the many varieties and heron and egrets that nest on Pea Patch Island and feed on the mai land at Thousand Acre Marsh. Bald eagles and osprey are all prevalent. These birds may be viewed by land as well as by water.
