Pencader Heritage Museum

This museum is dedicated to creating an educational environment for students, teachers and interested residents to learn about the history and culture of Pencader Hundred, a region of northern Delaware that is full of history from Colonial times to the present. Check out the museum's Cooch Room, which features pictures and memorabilia of the Cooch family, whose property was the site of the only Revolutionary War battle to be fought on Delaware soil. The Pencader Room has displays of Native American Indian and Revolutionary War artifacts, and the museum's "please touch" area includes parts from a M-48 tank at a former Chrysler auto plant that once stood in the area.
