Phillips Landing / Nanticoke Wildlife Area
Parking: Park at Phillips Landing.
Phillips Landing is a boating access area to Broad Creek and the Nanticoke River. The Chesapeake Bay Historic Water Trail stops at the Capt. John Smith Monument on Phillips Landing. Area has picnic tables, toilets, but no trash cans. Three boat ramps and a floating pier provide water access.
Hours of Operation: Sunrise-sunset daily.
Best Time to Visit: Anytime of the year.
Best Known For: Phillips Landing is known best for bass fishing, bird watching, and a beautiful view of the wild rice beds across the river.
Special Instructions: Area can be very busy spring through fall with bass tournaments and boaters. Hunting is allowed nearby.
