Indian River Life-Saving Station, Delaware Seashore State Park

Constructed in 1876 by the United States Life-Saving Service, this carefully restored landmark reminds us of the many perils endured by those who sailed Atlantic waters during the heyday of coastal trading. Located mid-way between Rehoboth and Bethany Beach, the station and its scenic setting provide visitors of all ages with opportunities to learn about this important period in our nation’s past while experiencing one of Delaware’s most beautiful places. Hours of Operation: April through October, Open Daily 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; November through March, Open Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The first floor of the museum is ADA accessible.
