  • Watch the sun rise and set : There’s nothing quite like watching the sun rise over the water - except maybe watching it set over the water. You can do both in a single day at Dewey Beach. Wake early and see the sun come up over the Atlantic Ocean. Then, stay outside and wait for it to set over Delaware’s Inland Bays. The view from the Indian River Bridge is splendid.
  • Firefly Music Festival : The East Coast’s premier summer musical festival takes over The Woodlands in Dover every June. Jam out to more than 100 artists over four days at the Firefly Music Festival.
  • Cape Water Taxi : Explore Delaware’s beach towns as you never have before. The Cape Water Taxi takes a scenic glide through the inland waterways connecting beach towns. Marvel at a gorgeous sunset from the deck or learn about the regions diverse plant and wildlife on an eco-tour.
  • Trap Pond State Park : Take a break from the beach and head inland to Trap Pond State Park, home to the nation’s northernmost natural stand of bald cypress trees. Pack a paddle because the park provides some of the most picturesque places for canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking in the state.
  • Go Ape! : Swing from the treetops of Lums Pond State Park. Go Ape! is a ropes course and a zip line adventure all in one. You’ll climb through the park’s trees and fly across its expansive waterway for an experience you’ll never forget.
  • Sambo's Tavern : One of Delaware’s smallest towns is home to one of the state’s most delicious and distinctive restaurants. Sit along the Leipsic River as you crack open a steamed crab or devour a crab cake at Sambo’s Tavern. Stop by in the afternoon to watch the crab boats come in or at dusk to enjoy the sunset. This hidden gem is a favorite among NASCAR drivers.
  • Delaware on Tap : Let the Delaware on Tap mobile app be your handheld guide to Delaware’s craft beverage industry. Spend time at nationally known breweries to hidden gems distilling unique spirits and sweet meads. Use the app to check-in at every location you visit and once you reach 10, you’ll win an awesome free prize!
  • Eating Rehoboth : Take a three-hour tour… not THAT three-hour tour. This one will take you through some of the best sites and, most importantly, tastes of Rehoboth Beach. Eating Rehoboth gives you a VIP foodie experience with exclusive food tastings at five of the town’s best restaurants. It’s the easiest and most fun way to enjoy Delaware’s Culinary Coast.
  • Drive on the Beach : Bring your rod and reel, and drive your vehicle right onto some of Delaware’s best beaches. From Cape Henlopen to Delaware Seashore to Fenwick Island State Park, it’s definitely exciting to put the car in drive and head off down the sand to your favorite fishing spot. Four-wheel drive and a surf fishing permit is required.
  • Big Chill Beach Club and Delaware Seashore State Park : Enjoy the best of both worlds at Delaware Seashore State Park where you can spend your morning on the beach and afternoon on the bay. Grab a bite to eat under the huge umbrella at the Big Chill Beach Club where you’ll get a 360-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean, Indian River Inlet and Indian River Bay.
