Bikes & Sips
Enjoy Delaware on Tap locations while being active has never been easier! Ride your bicycle on two Southern Delaware bike trails where you will be able to make pit stops to enjoy an ice cold craft beer, aged wine or some savory mead! We have mapped out the best trails for you to enjoy craft beverages. Here is you itinerary:
This Lewes – Rehoboth trail is approximately 5 miles, along and easy contour on a crushed stone surface. Bikers will pass through mature hardwood and conifer forests and open fields, and will experience scenic vistas of coastal marshes. At the end of this trail stop by two DE on Tap locations:
Revelation Craft Brewing Company
Revelation Craft Brewing Company is bike friendly and conveniently located just off the Junction Breakwater Trail in West Rehoboth and is open year around. There are 11 beers on tap and a constantly changing line up so there's always something new to try.
Dogfish Head Brewing’s and Eats
Park your bike and enjoy the pub! Located on the main shopping and entertainment strip in Rehoboth, the “pub,” as it’s known among Dogfish aficionados, is thought of as the birthplace and soul of the famous brewery. There is an intriguing menu filled plus pub-only and hard-to-find Dogfish beer. There’s often live entertainment, pairing dinners, spirits tastings and much more.
Lewes – Georgetown Trail
This Lewes – Georgetown trail is newly paved and approximately 13 miles. Parking is at the trailhead off Adams Ave. in Lewes next to the Lewes Public Library. On this trail, bikers will enjoy a scenic view of farmland and pass open fields. During this trail, bikers can stop by four DE on Tap locations:
Take the laidback feel of the Delaware beaches. Put it in a bottle. And you’ve got Beach Time Distilling. The distillery makes hand-crafted small batch spirits. Its rums, gin, vodka and specialty options use local ingredients when possible. Beach Time doesn’t rush or stress its yeast during the natural fermentation process, which produces smoother, stress-free "Leisurely Refined Spirits.”
Step off the bike and into Nassau Valley Vineyards. The many reds and whites produced at Delaware’s first winery have been winning awards all over the world for more than a decade. Enjoy a tasting. Take a self-guided tour. And learn about the history of wine.
Meade is serious business at Brimming Horn - a meadery run by brewers with more than 20 years’ experience and accolades you can shake a stick at. The meadery’s Scandinavian vibe, made complete with antler adorned chandeliers, will make you feel like you’re entering a Viking stronghold but after your first taste, you’ll see mead is not just for Vikings, it’s a beverage with creative components and complexities that every beer or wine connoisseur can enjoy.
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery
Across the nation, two words have come to capture the bold and irreverent character of “extreme beer” for tens of thousands of fans – Dogfish Head. The brewery is one of America’s most lauded craft beer makers, thanks to its quirky creations and bold approaches. Dogfish Head’s innovative system of continually hopping results in some of its most-loved beers, like 60 Minute, 75 Minute, 90 Minute and 120 Minute. Bring the kids, and climb up to the brewery’s “steampunk” tree house.
