This is as close as you can get to Fort Delaware that is located in the middle of the Delaware River. In season you can get the ferry to Fort Delaware and even over to Fort Mott in NJ. The area at the boat dock was the start of the original C&D canal that used locks

You need to look around and get the following information

A = the number of black spots on the ladybug on sign by dock.

B = Number of cannons on the Civil War Shop sign by ticket office

Then go to the final stage located at:

39 Deg 33.9A1 and 75 Deg 35.B63 Check sun A + B = 6.

The final will be about 1 mile away in the Gras Dale area of Fort DuPont State park.

You have permission to park along the side of the road. For added adventure, continue a short distance down the road to see the C&D canal up close.
