Silver Lake Park
Parking: Two parking areas are available - Kings Highway entrance and Washington Street entrance.
Silver Lake Park is a crown jewel for the City of Dover park system with its 182 acres of lake and park area. The modern playground area is popular with families, and throughout the park, benches offer views of the waterfowl and other wildlife scenery. Mallard ducks, blue herons, and eagles among the birds frequently seen. Conveniently located for annual picnics and gatherings, thanks to its two large pavilions. The park has plenty of open space for games and other activities. The paved pathway offers visitors an opportunity to meander through the park, enjoying the variety of trees and landscaping. Home to several local 5K runs and walks. Anglers know Silver Lake for its bass, carp, catfish, perch and other species.
